Xpand System is an active polarizaring viewing system for 3d works, good with any Digital cinema, with infra-red emitter installation in less than 15 minutes.
Popular in Hong Kong, with Golden Harvest and UA cinema applying this to their cinema chain.
The active glass is separated into the left-eye and right-eye views, with 24 frames per second images switching back and forth 144 times per second. Hence produce a smooth image with less dizzy effect. It is also the brightest, with the highest light efficiency, less power and larger screen is made possible.
Transition between 3D Stereo and 2D regular screening is just a second switching.
